On 26 of September Yerevan State Linguistic University after V. Brusov by the support of OSCE office in Yerevan held an international conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages and it’s implementation in Republic of Armenia.(Armenia signed the Charter on 11 May 2001 and ratified it on 25 January 2002).

The issues of this conference were:

• Charter: its history and basic principles.
• The language policy of RA and the Charter; its implementation in RA.
• The linguistic rights of minorities in Armenia.

The aim of the conference was to establish a closer contact with national minorities’ representatives, share experiences and get to know the concerns and opinions of the national minorities in Armenia.
